Probably our favourite restaurant in the world. Whenever we vist font romeu we make sure to make a reservation here. The food is perfection everytime. The jamon de iberico belloto is delicious and can't come with enough pan con tomata! I had an amazing starter with chorizo and egg also. The beef for main is always cooked and seasoned perfectly so doesnt need much accompaniment, however I have had potato gratin here before and I would have preferred that to the mash. In saying this the mash that came with it was excellent. The desserts are always outstanding. I was torn between chocolate and a more local dessert. I ended up choosing the local dessert but the waiter arranged for a little chocolate on the side which was a very nice touch! My dessert was similar to a bread and butter pudding type and was heaven on a plate for me. The decor, the service and the staff are excellent. The Wine list is great and staff recommendations work out very well!

C'est si Bon! The escargot and fois gras were delicious. Four of us had the lamb. Not a bite was left by the end of the meal. The sirloin steak was cooked just the way our son like it. Desert was Mousse Chocolat Noir (delightfully rich), lemon tarts and the flan. The rouge (red) wine was excellent. Very velvety with a hint of wood aroma. We were speaking English, French and Spanish at our table and the Matre D was a delightful hostess who spoke all three languages well enough to tell language jokes and host a perfect family meal We send our best regards to the chef for his excellent skill and food art!!

We came here based on the Michelin Guide. What a fantastic experience. Given its location in the Pyrenees, the food was a great mix of French, Spanish and Catalan influence. And of great quality. The restaurant provided an amuse-bouche that was fantastic. We had the tomato bread and jamon. The jamon portion was incredibly generous and the bread and tomato was one of the best I’ve ever had - it’s a simple recipe but clearly when done well it can be unforgettable. We had the traditional tripe dish. It was so rich and flavourful. Amazing. It may be too rich for some people with a slight hint of spice but I recommend for everyone. The steak was flame grilled and had a strong bitterness flavour on the outside which my partner did not enjoy. I think some changes to how the meat is cooked may be worthwhile exploring but overall this place was outstanding.
